General Information
Ultrasound imaging is a method of obtaining medical images using high-frequency sound waves. There is no radiation involved. Ultrasound is a useful way of examining many of the body's internal organs. Since ultrasound images are captured as real time images, they are able to demonstrate movement of internal tissues and organs. This enables the visualization of blood flow and heart valve functions for example.
