Breast Sonographer (PRN)
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Breast Sonographer (PRN) for a busy Breast Center Practice. In this role, you will perform high-quality breast ultrasound examinations, providing critical imaging services that support accurate diagnosis and patient care.
- Conduct detailed breast ultrasound scans, ensuring clear and accurate images for diagnosis
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process, answering questions, and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the exam
- Maintain strict aseptic techniques to prevent infection and uphold safety standards during all procedures
- Collaborate with radiologists to interpret findings and facilitate patient management
- Document procedure details thoroughly in medical records, including technical parameters and observations
- Adhere to established protocols for medical imaging, anatomy identification, and physiology considerations to optimize image quality
- Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members, providing compassionate care and clear explanations of procedures

Schedule:
- 8-hour shift
- Some weekends
Qualifications
Education: Associate degree or a Graduate of Radiology, Imaging, or a related educational program in Ultrasound Technology or Sonography
- Minimum of 2-3 years of work experience
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledgeable in the use of web-based patient documentation (RIS & PACS)

Experience
Ultrasound: 2-3 years (Preferred)
License/Certification
Licensure/Certification: Board Certified in Ultrasound Technology or Sonography; member in good standing with RDMS (required)
